Evil often appears to us as clear-cut crime—something the law condemns. This mindset can lead us to assume we’re “good people” simply because we follow the rules. But evil is more insidious and universal than that, residing within all of us. One of its most potent manifestations today is the confusion we create through half-truths and unchecked information.
When we spread ideas or "truths" without full understanding or verification, they can subtly distort reality. Truth taken out of context becomes misleading, slowly morphing into lies that pass unnoticed because they’re presented as unquestionable, even divine. This confusion isn’t just a tool of evil; it’s a principle of evil itself. As we contribute to this climate of misinformation, we may unwittingly amplify chaos and harm. Recognizing this tendency within us is crucial for fostering true clarity and integrity in our words and actions.
