"As in the story "Beauty and the Beast," it is only possible to redeem the inner beast through love and acceptance. The 'good news'

is that nothing in the human psyche is too dark to be transformed, as long as it is brought to the light of consciousness. The negative aspect found within the self can be embraced, forgiven, and released. The essential vitality of negative energy can be reclaimed and integrated into consciousness, to increase our total amount of available energy.
Every acknowledged flaw, every dismantled defense, and every pain felt and released give us powerful new reserves of reasoning and feeling to create a life directed toward new positive directions. Conversely, every unconscious negative attitude, every maintained defense, and every denied pain drain vital energy and limit consciousness."
